Engine options were largely carried over from the 1959 model year. All were versions of the 283 cid Chevy small-block V-8, and there were as many as seven configurations, ranging from the base 230hp model with a single four-barrel carburetor, all the way up to a 315 hp model that utilized fuel injection and a high-lift camshaft.
Transmission options continued to be a 2-speed automatic, 3-speed manual and 4-speed manual. All fuel-injected models came with a manual transmission and were not available with an automatic.
